Make Sunsets Monthly: Incremental Records

Make Sunsets Monthly: Incremental Records

Revenue: $13,484
Burn: $39,876
Cash: $946,197
Runway: ~24 months

We did our biggest month for sales and greatest deployment per person in a day: $13,484 and 10kg. Up and to the right... albeit slower than we'd like. 10kg/day deployment scales to 300+kg/month, which would put us at ~ $200k in profit per month. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it many more times: we will not fail for any reason other than lack of sales. Thanks to many of you, we're well on our way to not failing:)

We will continue to fail plenty of foam planes. 10 flights this month, and nearly as many crashes. Learning, albeit destructively. Reminder, to us and readers: we care about getting our balloon's telemetry to fly back to us because we want to share videos of every deployment. And, we think others might pay us to fly for them when we can guarantee return of equipment (sensors, etc.). While we're not there yet, we do have a 35-successful-flight plan to get there. As of now, we have 3 flights on the first step.

While sales increased slightly, we didn’t close the bigger deals we hoped for. However, we have a $1K deal closing next month which will be our first enterprise deal involving Cooling Credits. More details soon.

This month we had an opportunity to interview three customers, check out interviews with Kevin, Andon, and Ruban.

This month, we will:
-successfully complete another 8 flights on our plane plan
-attempt a 'glide to goal' flight from stratosphere with satellite-linked GPS
-$15K in sales

Up and to the right + stratosphere,
Andrew & Luke
