3 years ago, we were kicked off of San Francisco Climate Week's schedule: giving away party balloons with Tums and helium was too controversial. This month, Stabilize Earth was a featured event. I was the most "urgent" speaker (and SAI the only way to prevent catastrophic warming this century), but! This is directional, material movement. Not nearly as fast as we need, but progress. And, our blimp outside the closing party made some buoyant noise:

Less encouraging was the Weather Modification Association's annual meeting. The norm for the field is bold, unscientific claims without peer review. The oddly Biblical messaging from the 1 well-funded startup in the space, publicly-traded "penny" stock companies guaranteeing 10% rain increases, and websites hot out of 1995: these are not serious companies making real revenue. Several friends have started companies in this space, and I hope they can turn the field into something real. If cloud seeding is going to be a real tool for addressing water shortages, they've got a lot of work to do.

We made a tool to try and help: a DIY open-source cloud chamber costing 40x less than the existing option. We hope those considering alternative materials for cloud seeding will use this to help evaluate potential particles.

Our website is drastically simplified and should be much better for conversion tracking. Also, pricing is now simple: Cooling Credits are $1 each whether you buy 1 or subscribe for 100 per month. We can go lower, too: reach out if you want more than 1,000 Cooling Credits.

This month, I will:
-Get initial sales from and data on our European in-person experiments.
-Test extremely-targeted ads to reach more Coolers.
-Spin up a bench test for a large-propellered side project;)

Cooling To The Mainstream,
Luke (+1,082 Coolers)
