Expect way more footage of balloons popping and payloads flying back. Please help us figure out who else wants to get things to the stratosphere then consistently recover them.
On the EPA: this rhymes with what happened in Mexico. You can expect a more legalese response from us soon, but here's the important part: we'll continue delivering your Cooling Credits safely and legally. We knew from the start that this business would ruffle some feathers, and we're excited to get official, federal confirmation that our balloons are fully in compliance with environmental regulations and pose no risk to the environment. Not gonna lie: this EPA surprise is challenging and not easy... but it's not our first (or 2nd, or 3rd) federal rodeo;)
We faced some sales setbacks this month, including a major subscriber cancellation, leading to our first revenue dip in five months. But, some positive feedback on a new offering: Andrew completed 15 user interviews on localized cooling. Of these, 3 outdoor venues are willing to pay to cool their spaces during peak heat months when bookings drop. We should have something live with paying customers this summer.
This month, we will: -Achieve $14k in sales -Present 2 posters at the largest geoengineering conference ever, speaking to at least 50 potential customers -Fly 5 more return to home flights, recovering planes and video footage every time -Politely explain some things to the EPA;)
Kept out of El Salvador with your support, Andrew & Luke
