Make Sunsets Monthly: Adapting

[We originally sent the following to our mailing list subscribers 6/30/25. Added to website 8/9/25.]

Revenue: $9,521
Burn: $39,116
Cash: $893,797
Runway: ~20 months

Much experimentation, and getting signs of some fit: with a lot of help from a friend, a *very large* winery is interested in doing localized cooling experiments with us.  First vineyards, then venues, then cities: we have multiple tools to create meaningful, local cooling. Now, we'll learn how to use them as effectively as possible.

Sales are slightly up from last month. We appreciate every Cooling Credit anyone purchases, and we'll continue to deliver on any volume of orders we receive. We will also start other lines of business to hit profitability (aka stay alive) until millions more realize we should solve warming in the stratosphere.

Return-to-home good, not great: 3 attempts, 2 recoveries, and 1 partial return flight. We had to switch airframes because of the radiosonde's additional weight, and the new plane is proving finicky. We'll come up with a better one, sharing data along the way.

This month, we will:
-Hit $12,000 in sales
-Characterize 3 airframes for return-to-home, successfully flying the best
-Do a local cooling trial that generates robust data

Cooling globally and soon locally,
Andrew & Luke
