Make Sunsets Monthly: Sustainability

[We originally sent the following to our mailing list subscribers 9/30/24. Added to website 10/5/24.]

Revenue: $10,261
Burn: $26,121
Cash: $1,060,874
Runway: ~30 months

We are building a triple-bottom-line sustainable company. Here's where we are on each line.

People: We did our first launch with 25+ customers attending. Thanks to all who joined, especially our
youngest geoengineer!

Press continues, but still only niche converts: Tomas' post drove over 50x as many sales as the New York Times!

Planet: we successfully launched our
largest balloon yet, delivering 3,095 Cooling Credits via a 4kg latex balloon. With 10 launches this month, we cooled Earth more than 516,904 trees do in a year. For the past 18 months, we cooled Earth more than 3,078,809 trees for a year. A drop in the bucket, but one with a clear path to scale.

Profit: short of our $12,500 goal (and still without returning payloads), but progressing: we're ~halfway to $ profitability. We plan to get there by end of this year.

This month, we will:
- Hit $12,500 in sales
- Close one corporate or government customer
- Dramatically improve our website
- Build our new, balloon-centric office

Sustainably approaching the stratosphere,
Andrew and Luke
