We're like a thunderstorm rolling in: progress continues, uneven but onwards as usual.
After over a year of trying, we've figured out how to allow donations to fund deployments. If you work at a larger company, they'll probably match your donation!
Progress but not full success on our July monthly goals. We dropped 2 planes (video 1 and video 2) from the stratosphere, but we weren't able to recover them. Work here will continue, and faster with our new RC hobbyist friends. Kiran closed our first "cool your compute" client: Numerous.ai is now offsetting the warming from 11 figures of annual token use. The offset cost less than 0.01% of their annual revenue. Other AI companies: reach out to make your product part of the climate solution rather than another problem. Andrew was able to get one author to write about us; more press will hit this next month. Luke's article in Make Magazine (pdf) open-sources everything you need to do your own balloon launches.
This month, we will:
